Bumrah's remarkable journey in cricket can be traced back to his standout performances in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL), which ultimately paved the way for his inclusion in the Indian cricket team in 2016. This category is considered the most elite, and Bumrah shares it with only three other top-tier players - Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja. Income from the IPL
Bumrah is one of the few players who have played for the same franchise in the IPL since their debut. Bumrah began his IPL journey with the Mumbai Indians in 2013, and he has continued to be a crucial part of their squad since then. Over the years, he has featured in a total of 120 matches for the five-time champions, claiming 145 wickets.
Bumrah's journey with the Mumbai Indians has also seen substantial growth in his earnings. In the inaugural IPL season of 2013, Bumrah received a payment of Rs 10 lakh from the Mukesh Ambani-owned franchise. For the subsequent four seasons, from 2014 to 2017, his annual compensation increased to Rs 1.2 crore per season.
